A. GiveHimaClue.com was created by Keith Stickley in 2007.

Q. How did you come up with the idea:

A. It actually started as a joke! Keith Stickley was talking to his girlfriend one night, and the subject that every man gets nervous came up… gift ideas for the Holidays. He mentioned to his girlfriend the anxiety that most of his male friends and he shared for trying to find those perfect gifts for their significant others. He then joked to her that he wished there was a website she could fill out and send to him that would fill in all her details to try and take the guess work out of the shopping experience. She said “Hey! That’s a great idea!”. So with her support, Keith launched www.givehimaclue.com so that women could give their men clues about what sizes and gifts their women would appreciate and would fit.

Q. Are men REALLY that scared by the shopping experience?

A. YES! Let’s say a man wants to buy his loving wife lingerie. If he buys a size too big, he is in trouble! If he buys a size too small, he may not be in trouble, but now it has to be returned or exchanged.
